Interview with Amy
Amy resides at our St. James campus. Recently, she and other girls from her cottage went to see High School Musical accompanied by our St. James choir director and youth care specialists staff.
1. Tell us a little bit about your night out to see High School Musical.
We went to High School Musical and then we went to McDonalds and Krispy Kreme Donuts.
2. What was your favorite part about the show?
When the guy inched across the stage like an inchworm and the teacher said “Who knew a worm could have such depth, such pain!”
3. What was your favorite part about a night out with the girls?
Us just hanging out and getting to talk about things
4. Do you enjoy singing and dancing?
Yes
5. What’s your favourite way to pass the time?
Singing and scrapbooking
6. What is your favourite thing about your time at Boys & Girls Town?
Meeting people and getting to know a lot about them, what they’ve been through, and sharing what I have been through.
7. What is the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome?
Being without my family
8. What have you learned while staying at Boys & Girls Town?
Anger isn’t the way to solve problems
9. What’s your plan for the future and what do you want to be when you grow up?
Going home and staying home and I want to be a massage therapist

My family – I have a great mom and stepdad. I have two sisters and one brother and my real dad
