“Kevin came to Boys & Girls Town last spring with significant anger issues, poor relationship skills, little trust in adults and lots of family conflict.  Initially he would not allow anyone to touch him and became very aggravated if someone would touch him.  Through therapy, Kevin was able to identify the triggers to his anger. He learned to develop healthy and trusting relationships with adults, especially adult authority figures, and was able to work through the conflict he had with his parents.  Over time he allowed staff to give him a hand shake and he even initiated hugs!  The day he left, he thanked staff members and that he loved them.  These are words that were very difficult for him to express to anyone in the beginning.”
