Missouri State Tax Credits available for Charitable Contributions
Boys & Girls Town’s Columbia campus is currently under renovation. In 2004, Boys & Girls Town acquired 5.8 acres and six existing cottages at Bearfield Road to strengthen and expand services for children and families in Central Missouri. In support of this project, the State of Missouri has awarded Youth Opportunity Program (YOP) tax credits. Contributions of $1,000 or more for the capital campaign are eligible for 50 percent tax credits, at the donor’s request, for gifts made after January 1, 2007.
The Columbia campus offers residential treatment programs for 24 children currently. With the completion of two additional cottages and a central dining/recreation facility, the campus will serve 48 children and continue expansion of community based services for Central Missouri children and families in need.
Please contact Jeannie Bentley, director of advancement, at jeannie.bentley@bgtm.org for more information about tax credits.
