Memorial and Tribute Gifts:
Whether you contribute today or plan for a deferred gift, your generosity may become an enduring tribute to a family member or other loved one. We will be glad to assist you in choosing an appropriate commemoration for your gift in memory of someone special, or in honor of an event such as a birthday, anniversary, or graduation. Call the development office for more information at (314) 535-7911.

Gifts of Appreciated Assets:
Gifts of stock that have appreciated in value may provide several advantages in comparison to gifts of cash. You can deduct the fair market value of qualified non-cash property and pay no capital gains tax, provided you have held the asset for more than a year. 

You may also consider making a gift of an asset that can be claimed as a capital loss.  If you own securities worth less than what you paid for them you have an additional advantage; you can sell the securities, gift the proceeds to Boys & Girls Town and claim a loss on the sale as well as a charitable deduction for your gift.

Gifts-In-Kind:
Boys & Girls Town accepts donations of new and gently-used items including, but not limited to, furniture, household wares, clothing, toys, sporting goods and books. Items may be dropped off at any of our campus locations or to arrange for large-item pick-up, please call our St. James campus at (573) 265-3251.
