Boys & Girls Town of Missouri Names Margie Tessaro Employee of the Year
St. James, Mo. (April 16, 2007) – Marge Tessaro, school office assistant at Boys & Girls Town of Missouri’s St. James campus received the “Outstanding Perseverance Employee of the Year” award for the statewide agency, which includes the St. James plus campuses in St. Louis, Springfield and Columbia.
This award highlights an employee who has shown outstanding effort and has been extremely successful in serving children in his or her duties as a child care worker.
“After more than 13 years Marge still has the compassion of doing what is right for each and every child,” noted John Money, senior vice president of administration, when presenting the award. “In such a high profile position, with daily minute to minute job pressures, Margie continues to be a positive voice for Boys & Girls Town air waves which helps set the tone for all staff and students.”
Tessaro joined Boys & Girls Town in 1994 as an office assistant.
Boys & Girls Town has 220 employees in St. James and a total of 416 individuals on its four campuses.
Employees were selected on a basis of peer nominations and review. The awards correspond to the completion of the agency’s fiscal year 2007. |
