Boys & Girls Town of Missouri Honors Community Volunteers
St. Louis, Mo. (June 4, 2007) - Boys & Girls Town of Missouri has announced this year’s volunteer honorees for the Eastern region of the agency, based in St. Louis.
Ted Armstrong and Jason Wallis, members of the board of directors, received the President’s Award for their dedication to children and service at Boys & Girls Town.
Armstrong joined the board in 1989 and has been a key member of the strategic planning committee since 1994, on which he serves as vice chair. Armstrong most recently served as senior vice president-finance and administration and chief financial officer at Angelica Corporation. He is a member of the St. Louis County Boundary Commission and a former alderman of the City of Frontenac. Wallis, president of transportation for Wallis Oil/Mobil On the Run, joined the board in 2002 and serves as vice chair/secretary and is a member of the St. Louis golf tournament planning committee.
The awards were presented at a recent annual meeting held in Steelville, Mo., to honor outstanding volunteers in each region of the state. |
