Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation Supports Boys & Girls Town’s Education Programs
St. Louis, Mo. (Dec. 5, 2007) – Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation awarded Boys & Girls Town of Missouri a $7,500 grant to strengthen educational programming for St. Louis area children. This gift will be used to enhance literacy initiatives, life skills education and update academic materials.
“Boys & Girls very thankful to Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation for their generous gift,” said Kathy O’Brien, vice president of the Boys & Girls Town of Missouri’s eastern region. “Education is one of our highest priorities, as it helps strengthen the lives of the children we serve and builds groundwork for a positive future.”
Learning and behavior disorders are prevalent in the children served by Boys & Girls Town. The primary goals of Boys & Girls Town academic programs are to help children identify and build on their strengths, improve performance and establish future goals. These academic programming goals are met through low child to staff ratios, consistent evaluation of student abilities, and programs that are designed to meet children where they are performing and improve.
The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation was created in 1982 by Enterprise Rent-A-Car founder Jack Taylor. The foundation was established to allow the company to give back to the communities where Enterprise customers and employees live and work. |
