Boys & Girls Town’s Diamond Night Raises over $40,000
For Area Children Who Are Victims of Abuse and Neglect

Springfield, Mo. (March 28, 2008) – Close to 250 Springfield area residents joined Boys & Girls Town of Missouri at the Highland Springs Country Club for Diamond Night benefiting children who suffer from emotional and behavioral problems, most often due to abuse and neglect.  More than $40,000 was raised to support treatment programs for these children from the Springfield community.

The evening featured a silent auction with jewelry donated by eight local jewelers and a grand prize giveaway four karat diamond bracelet donated by Manoli’s Jewelers along with dinner and dancing.

“Thanks to all the support from our guests and sponsors for making this evening a successful Diamond Night,” said Chip Wolf, Boys & Girls Town regional vice president. “The generosity of the Springfield community is second to none.”

Valerie Savvenas, co-owner of Manoli’s Jewelers and Hallie Sale, co-owner of WineStyles,served as co-chairs of the event.
