Boys & Girls Town of Missouri Honors Columbia Residents
Sheri Rentschler and Amy Sprouse for Outstanding Volunteer Service

Columbia, Mo. (May 8, 2008) – Boys & Girls Town of Missouri honored Columbia residents Sheri Rentschler and Amy Sprouse with Star Volunteer awards at the agency annual board meeting.  The award recognizes dedicated service to the children at Boys & Girls Town.

Rentschler was a member of the inaugural Diamond Night event committee in 2006.  In 2007 she served as co-chair for the event.

Sprouse volunteered at Boys & Girls Town’s Changing Prisms, a unique mentoring event for girls, in 2006.  She served as co-chair of Diamond Night in 2007.

In its first two years, Diamond Night has raised more than $120,000 for treatment programs for children with behavioral and emotional problems.
