Handbag Auction Raises more than $30,000 for Children
at Boys & Girls Town of Missouri

Springfield, Mo. (November, 2008) –Boys & Girls Town of Missouri’s 2008 Handbags of Hope luncheon and auction held this fall at Highland Springs Country Club.  More than 225 attendees bid on new handbags donated by local retailers and bags personally owned by local and national celebrities. The sold out event, led by co-chairs Judy Gibson and Judy Wyrick, raised more than $30,000 to help fund treatment programs for children suffering from abuse and neglect. Funds raised nearly doubled those of last year’s event.
