Boys & Girls Town of Missouri Honors the Rotaract Club of Springfield
for Outstanding Volunteer Service

Springfield, Mo. (March, 2009) – Boys & Girls Town of Missouri honored the Rotaract Club of Springfield with a Star Volunteer award at the agency annual board meeting on February 15. The award recognizes dedicated service to the children at Boys & Girls Town.

The Rotaract Club of Springfield, a philanthropic organization for local young professionals, has deemed Boys & Girls Town of Missouri their charity of choice since the club began 13 year ago. During that time, the members have donated time, finances, energy and wisdom to the children of Boys & Girls Town. In addition to gifts of school supplies, clothing and hygiene items, the club has raised over $28,000 to support the programs of Boys & Girls Town through their Winter Party event.  Members of the club also host events for residents of Boys & Girls Town including game nights, field days and holiday parties.

“Boys & Girls Town of Missouri is honored to have Rotaract Club of Springfield in service of our organization,” said Chip Wolf, regional vice president of Boys & Girls Town, “It is with generous support from our community, and organizations like the Rotaract Club of Springfield, that we are able to transform the lives of the children we serve.”
