Julie McBride Named Director of Advancement for
Boys & Girls Town of Missouri Central Region

Columbia, Mo. (April 13, 2009) – Julie McBride has been named director of advancement for Boys & Girls Town of Missouri based in Columbia. Previously she served as the director of marketing & communications for the Columbia Orthopedic Group. She also has extensive experience in athletics, working with the University of Missouri- Columbia athletic department, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Big 12 and Big 8 conferences.

As director of advancement, McBride is responsible for the planning and overseeing of all fundraising activities in the central Missouri area including major, individual, corporate, capital, estate and foundation gifts, special events and related research.

McBride earned her bachelor’s degree in social work and her master of education degree with an emphasis in sport management and athletic administration from University of Missouri-Columbia.
