Boys & Girls Town Golf Tourney Final Figures are in –
Tournament Raised $26,000 for children in treatment programs

St. James, Mo. (September 18, 2009) – Golfers at the 24th annual Boys & Girls Town of Missouri-St. James Golf Tournament earned a double eagle’s worth of satisfaction at Oak Meadow Country Club in Rolla last month.  Golfers scored in the hearts of children and families by helping to support children in treatment programs, and they enjoyed a beautiful clear, sunny, temperate day as well.  All the efforts of sponsors and golfers helped collect $26,000 for children at Boys & Girls Town of Missouri. 

Twenty-one foursomes competed. The team of Richard Cardetti, Jim Cittadino, Greg Doss and Dave Hamilton took first place in A Flight with a 16-under par 54.

The Key Sport Team of Chad Barnes, Joe Gorman, Will Marshall and Bill Stoltz won B Flight with a 65.

Phelps County Bank was the title sponsor. Silver sponsors included Esquibel Oral Surgery, Mace Supermarkets, Pyro Performance and Wal-Mart Distribution Center 6069.  Bronze sponsors were Forest City Pharmacy, Mo-Sci Corporation, Pepsi-Cola Bottling, Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Wallis Oil and Wal-Mart Distribution Center 6069.

Businesses sponsoring holes included: Big O Tire, Carl Insurance Company, Casey’s General Store, Central Federal Savings Bank, Dr. Dan Brown, Fairground Auto Plaza, Farm Bureau Insurance, Grellner Sales, Investment Realty, Key Sport Shop, Kingom Kia, McKinley Paints, Meramec Electrical Products, Murdon Concrete, Prairie Valley Land Fill, St. John’s Clinic-St. James, Steelman, Gaunt & Horsefield, Steelville Drug, Steelville Telephone, Stevens Rental, Town & Country Bank, Towne Pharmacy, Owensville Wal-Mart -and Weidinger Chevrolet.

Proceeds from the tournament directly benefit children receiving treatment for histories of abuse, neglect, psychological or emotional problems.
