Boys & Girls Town ‘Bags’ a Successful Luncheon to Benefit Local Young Women

ST. JAMES, MO. - Over 100 attendees joined Boys & Girls Town of Missouri- St. James as they hosted the Bags & Beads gourmet luncheon at Sybill’s Restaurant on November 9. Bidding generously on a sensational collection of handbags and jewelry, guests helped Boys & Girls Town raise $14,500 for the Changing Prisms program.

Changing Prisms was launched in 2003 through Boys & Girls Town. The two-day workshop is geared specifically for young women as a voyage to self-discovery and directly targets the issues unique to their recovery from abuse, neglect, emotional and behavioral problems. These young women participate in a multifaceted and powerful experience that enables them to explore, identify and ultimately begin to build on their own individual strengths.

Bags & Beads was presented by “Diamond” sponsor InVision Family Eye Care with additional sponsorships provided by BeautiControl-Kelly Money, Brown Veterinary Clinic, Chic Chick, First Community National Bank, GiniGaunt.com, Investment Realty, Judy Neill, Kelly Hill, People’s Bank, Scott’s Printing, St. James Veterinary Clinic, Wallis Oil, Wendy Chitwood-Investment Realty, and Workman Construction .
