MITCHELL CLINIC SUCCESSFULLY RAISES FUNDS FOR BOYS & GIRLS TOWN KIDS’ CHRISTMAS GIFTS

St. James, Mo. (December 21, 2009) – Dr. Gerry Mitchell, of the Mitchell Clinic in St. James, and his patients have helped to make the holidays a little brighter for the kids at Boys & Girls Town of Missouri. In November, Dr. Mitchell began donating all initial new patient services and one adjustment for existing patients who contribute $20 to the children at Boys & Girls Town of Missouri.

The campaign ended up collecting $520 for Boys & Girls Town’s St. James Holiday Project, the fund used to buy Christmas and birthday presents for the kids in the agency’s care. Many of the kids at Boys & Girls Town are away from their families during the holidays or staying with foster parents who may not have the means to buy gifts. The generosity of community members like Dr. Mitchell and his wife Susan helps to make the holidays a special time for these kids.

“Boys and Girls Town is so very fortunate to be surrounded by such a caring and supportive community,” said Charlotte Christ, regional vice president of Boys & Girls Town. “The generosity of people like Dr. and Mrs. Mitchell at Mitchell Chiropractic and, of course, their patients will help us to ensure that the holiday is a happier occasion for all of the children who live on our campus.  Their support certainly brings the Christmas spirit to life and we at Boys and Girls Town in St. James are very grateful.”

The Mitchell Clinic is located at 120 S. Jefferson St. in St. James. For information call 265-0310.
