Pledge Drive to Benefit Local Kids and Families in Need

COLUMBIA, MO (April 6, 2010) –April is Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Awareness Month and to raise awareness of the need for increased prevention efforts, Boys & Girls Town and Cumulus Media are partnering for the 2nd Annual Calling for Kids phone-a-thon April 7, 2010 from 10am-2pm.

Supporters of Boys & Girls Town will call potential supporters to support treatment programs for kids in the care of Boys & Girls Town’s Central Region. Cumulus' four FM stations - KBXR, KPLA, Q106.1, and 100.1 The Buzz and KFRU-AM will be broadcasting the pledge drive.

Boys & Girls Town served more than 460 area children in 2009.
