Who we are
Parenting Life Skills Center (PLSC) is a successful child abuse and neglect prevention program. Our work is done in collaboration with area social service agencies, faith communities, and local and state government entities. PLSC is located in Springfield, Missouri. PLSC was formed in 1990 to address child abuse and neglect in Greene County. Since then, it has evolved into one of the foremost parent and family education programs in Southwest Missouri and serves predominantly at-risk parents. The Center has established a reputation for innovative parent education services and community involvement.

Strengthen families by teaching life skills in a caring, nurturing and accessible environment in order to promote self-worth and quality of life.

Our purpose
Educate parents by offering a variety of preventive treatment programs to families at risk for child abuse and neglect, domestic unrest or violence.

Opportunities to help
PLSC has been providing support and education to families in our community and surrounding areas for more than 20 years. One hundred percent (100%) of PLSC funding supports and serves families in southwest Missouri. As needs in the community change and grow, it is important for PLSC to remain a viable entity that responds to a changing and often violent world. With your help, we can do so. There are many ways you can help.
